The winning logotype consists of five thick lines representing the five countries participating in the project. Crossed lines create a star which represents the European dimension of the project and the cross-border cooperation, Studio Engram writes in their submission.

Engram is an independent branding studio based in Gdansk, a new company which started up in June 2010. Art Line is the first competition they have participated in so far, says Bartek Kotowicz, who was a surprised winner since so many submissions were made during November.

The 3D shape of the logotype underline the complexity and innovation of the project, Engram writes.

There are five colours to choose in between. Five different perspectives of the 3D-shape create a special illusion. Different combinations are possible, as in the project itself.

Engram is now developing the entire graphic profile and we are looking forward to using it in our first material.

We are amazed and glad to see so many submissions from designers and designstudents from all the South Baltic area.

It is interesting to see all the different professional interpretations of Art Line.

The selection has started and all the partner institutions will vote for theie choice of logotype during this week.

More than 3300 visitors to the contest-site make us eager to start the activities.
